Basalt is a basic volcanic rock (Greek βασανίτης [basanítēs] - test stone, very hard stone), which is inexhaustible as a raw material (13% of the earth's crust) with unique properties: Inert, practically inexhaustible (13% of the earth's crust), UV, acid and alkali resistant, non-corrosive, sustainable (energy consumption for the production of basalt fibers is more than 80% lower than that of carbon fibers and 30% lower than E-glass), attractively priced.
