Who are we, what does the lifeRock Group do and what can we tell you about us and our company?
The mission of the lifeRock Group, consisting of lifeRock Group Verwaltungs GmbH & CBG Composites GmbH, is the development, manufacture and delivery of modern and environmentally friendly building and construction materials. We produce composite materials with specified fire, heat and sound insulation properties for use in various industrial sectors.
With our modern technological equipment , which includes treaters, presses, drying chambers, etc., standard products can be manufactured, as well as products with customer-specific properties upon request. Our company continually invests in the optimization of technological processes and products, as well as in cooperation with partners in research and development and sales. A particular focus of our work is the development of new products.
CBG Composites GmbH is located on the territory of the national park and always pays attention to environmental issues. The equipment we use has the necessary degrees of protection and reliably protects the atmosphere and waste water from possible contamination with products of our company.
CBG Composites GmbH is certified in the quality control system ISO 9001 and the product certification systems for marine modules B and D and for land use.
The company was founded in Wipperfürth in 1920 by the Bisterfeld family and was owned by private owners, the Bisterfeld and Stolting families, until 1968. Immediately after its foundation, the company manufactured a variety of products based on resins that were mechanically reinforced using carcass structures.
In 1968, the company was taken over by Polyclad Europe GmbH, which launched a wide range of glass laminates for the electrical and semiconductor industries.
In 2014, the current owners of the company took over the site and continue to run it under the name CBG Composites GmbH. The company's product portfolio was optimized with regard to its existing glass laminate product range and successfully expanded with new, innovative, non-flammable, ultra-light sound and heat insulating composite sandwich panels based on basalt for use in shipbuilding as well as in the offshore and architectural sectors. For this purpose, new endothermic materials and technologies were developed, patented and transferred to industrial use.
Today CBG Composites GmbH, as a manufacturing company of the LifeRock Group, places particular emphasis on sustainability. The quality management system introduced in accordance with ISO 9001:2015 and the use of natural raw materials as well as environmentally friendly design of the current technologies and products lay a solid foundation for the company's continued successful development in the future.
The team of highly qualified professionals working in the company is based on almost a century of successful experience of the Wipperfuerth plant and has a wide range of knowledge and skills. Research and development, new product development, cooperation with suppliers, process optimization, logistics of our products in various regions of the world, market work with potential and existing customers and sales partners - this is only a far-fetched list of tasks that our specialists carry out daily in German, English and/or Russian languages.
Improvement of efficiency, systematization and maintenance of high quality of both products and business processes

Certificates
CBG Composites GmbH pays great attention to improving efficiency, consistency and maintaining high quality of both products and business processes. Our company has been successfully certified in accordance with ISO 9001 and IMO FTP 2010, and our products are manufactured in accordance with DIN 4102, DIN EN 15301 and IMO FTP.
For individual products and technical solutions, we have applied for utility models and obtained the corresponding patents to protect our know-how.
Individual product names such as SeaPan®, FireCore®, Cerammatrix®, EasyPan®, CarboBasalt® are registered trademarks.
Products manufactured by our company, carry a variety of significant advantages:
- ultra-low specific gravity and density
- flammability and non-combustibility
- high temperature resistance (>1.300 °C)
- low thermal conductivity and heat dissipation
- fume hiding in case of fire
- high soundproofing properties (>51 dB)
- vibration resistance
- moisture resistance
- UV insensitivity
- excellent mechanical properties
- ease of installation
- workability with conventional cutting tools
- non-toxicity
- non-aggressive properties and compatibility with other materials
- absolute naturalness of products (100% made from natural materials)
- high level and ease of recyclability
For our customers on land, on water and in the air, this means the ability to manufacture and use light and durable, non-flammable, heat- and noise insulating structures that are resistant to moisture and sunlight, non-toxic, easy to operate and dispose of products with the best ratio of price and technological properties of materials.
For example, several times the lighter weight of our products allows us to significantly reduce the time spent by installers and builders on production and installation of structures. Lighter elements of mobile structures, such as ships, allow to reduce their total weight and significantly (many times in relation to the cost of our materials) reduce fuel consumption necessary for their movement. When working with building panels on land, especially in cases where the possibility of using mechanization means is limited, the gain in the labor force or during works can exceed 30%.
Thin fireproof walls of non-combustibility class A1/F30 or A1/F90 with high soundproofing characteristics (more than 51 dB with a partition thickness of 25 mm or more than 52 dB with a partition thickness of 35 mm as "cabin to cabin" construction) are ready-to-install, compact panels that replace the need for manual arrangement of multi-layer structures and allow to save both labor costs and the necessary amount of space. There is a win-win situation. Installation of each partition takes up to 70% less time and up to 70% less space without raising the cost of construction.
